Remarketing
Remarketing is similar to retargeting in that they both seek to bring a previous visitor back to a website. The difference between the two is that retargeting focuses on display ads and their positioning, whereas remarketing deals more with emails. In a remarketing campaign, after someone visits a company’s website and leaves, a company can send emails that are personalized to the interests of the visitor. The visitor’s browsing history can be monitored by cookies that are managed by a third-party company. The information gathered by the cookies can be used to make offers in emails more enticing for the monitored consumers. Creating customized emails increases the chances that the visitor will return to your website.
Why does TrackMaven think that Remarketing is important?
By creating and sending customized emails, a company has a better chance to connect with a potential customer on a more personal level. That odds that someone will return to a company’s website after receiving an email tailored to their interests are much higher than if they were to receive an email with a generic marketing message. Remarketing makes a company seem more appealing to consumers, because emails containing offers that are specific to consumers help them recognize the immediate utility they will receive from a product or service.
