Ad Space

Ad space is the section of a website that is allocated for advertising. Most websites set aside a portion of their page for marketers to buy as part of a paid advertising campaign. Web pages can contain one or multiple ad display spaces, and the format of the space can vary. Popular forms include banner ads and buttons. Space on more popular websites is more expensive than on less frequently visited sites. Unsold space, also known as remnant ad space, can be purchased at a discount, usually in cost-per-click (CPC) advertising.

Why is Ad Space important?

Excluding this from a marketing campaign would leave any company at a serious disadvantage. Having an ad in a published space - for example, a google search results page - would expose your advertisement and brand to volumes of people. An efficient marketing campaign takes advantage of both free and paid channels of advertising, thus paid ad space should be a part of every marketer’s arsenal. Marketers should have a strategy for efficiently capitalizing on ads in a cost effective way. Some websites, such as Facebook and Google, rely entirely on these spaces for revenues. Online ad space is a great way to reach a large audience because of the vast number of internet users. Interested in starting a campaign which utilizes website advertisement space?
